2015 Toyota Corolla Earns Five-Star NHTSA Safety Rating

The Toyota Corolla has long held it’s spot among the best-selling cars in the  world, and recently underwent a redesign in the 2014 model year. The new design received much acclaim, and has a lot of people excited for the 2015 model. With new styling, increased rear-seat room, and improved fuel economy, we can see why. These features, along with tech upgrades and unmatched reliability, the Corolla is a virtual lock to be a top-seller.

Style and features aren’t the only thing the Corolla is known for – it’s also one of the safest vehicles on the road. The 2015 Toyota Corolla earned a Five-Star Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The Corolla earned five stars in the front and side crash tests, and four stars in the rollover crash test, for an overall five star score in individual tests.

The 2015 Corolla features eight airbags, stability and traction control, and antilock brakes. It also has high-tensile-steel strength body panels, and front and rear energy-absorbing crumples zones with side-impact door beams, and an energy-absorbing collapsible steering wheel.

The 2014 Corolla also was named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but the 2015 model year has not been rated yet.
