Toyota Mobility Robots Help Rehab Patients in Japan Hospitals

The Toyota brand is coming up with such innovative solutions and technologies, the automotive market can’t even contain them all. In fact, if you go into any hospitals around Japan in the near future, you’re likely to see some awesome Toyota technology parked inside the building. Some new Toyota mobility robots will be installed in hospitals all across Japan; the Walk Training Assist and Balance Training assist will help people regain mobility as part of a rehab program.

The Walk Training Assist and Balance Training Assist both have already been installed at the Ukai Rehabilitation Hospital in Aichi Prefecture, but they will soon branch out all across the country. There will be 23 Walk Training Assist robots and 21 Balance Training Assist robots at 34 total locations.

Of course, Toyota is hoping that these robotic technologies start a revolution in healthcare and rehabilitation from this point on. If they are such a massive success, these robots will soon be seen all across the world, including here in the States. To get a glimpse of some other current Toyota technologies, just come visit us at Wondries Toyota today.
