Google My Maps Brings You a Simpler Road Trip than Ever Before

Worried you missed the boat (or rather, the car) for a carefree summer road trip? With all the new apps and sites dedicated to doing and seeing more, it’s super easy to plan an awesome road trip at the very last minute.

One of the best for making a simpler road trip is Google My Maps, a new Google Maps engine that helps you figure out where to stop when you’re on your way from Point A to Point B.

At first glance, it looks just look a normal view of Google Maps with a bunch of colored arrows. Those arrows are actually waypoints indicating every National Park in America, plus a bunch of awesome, lesser known recreation areas.

Google My Maps does the legwork for you: A green arrow represents a National Park, yellow is for National Forests and Grasslands, and blue indicates a National River, Lake, or Seashore.
