The Toyota Prius has long been renowned as a game-changer, bringing incredible efficiency to the masses long before the competition had even been capable. The Prius has been a stand-by for shoppers looking to save at the pump, and it remains incredibly popular in Los Angeles to this very day. Now, Toyota has revealed the new 2016 Toyota Prius to be more efficient and comelier than its predecessors, we here at Wondries Toyota suspect that its popularity will only skyrocket.
The fourth-gen Toyota Prius will be the single-most-efficient mass-produced non-plug-in hybrid ever made with an estimated fuel economy rating of 54 mpg city/50 mpg highway/52 mpg combined. The lighter and more aerodynamic Eco model only amplifies that efficiency to the tune of 58 mpg city/53 mpg highway/56 mpg combined.
And while those figures are more than noteworthy, more people are sure to focus more on the Prius’ sharp new look. The Toyota Prius has always had a distinctive, unmistakable look; the 2016 Prius is bolder, more dynamic, and more likely to appeal to non-converts thanks to a sleeker outline and a new face complete with sharp character lines and Bi-LED headlamps.
The 2015 Prius will be available in six trims: Prius Two, Prius Two Eco, Prius Three, Prius Three Touring, Prius Four, and Prius Four Touring. Pricing and equipment will be announced closer to its release.
The 2016 Prius promises to be impressive on all fronts, and we look forward to receiving more details about it in 2016.
