It’s easy to have fun on the Fourth of July when you’re a kid, from collecting candy thrown at the morning parade to playing with sparklers on the lawn after sundown. But if you really want to give your family an unforgettable Independence Day, we have a few just for you:
Have Your Own Parade
The way you feel about your beloved Toyota from Wondries Toyota? That’s the way your kiddo feels about their bicycle. Help them have fun and take pride in their bike this July 4th by decorating it together. Use red, white, and blue streamers; balloons; and construction paper and go to town! Then, once it’s all gussied up, lead them on a little parade up and down the street or around the block.
Make Balloons that Really Boom
Who says you have to wait for sundown to see fireworks on the Fourth of July? Fill some balloons with glitter, confetti, and candy then let the young ones have a blast making them go “boom.” If you want to avoid a major mess, set up an area with a tarp that allows for quick cleanup.
Save Time for Some History
Between the balloon fireworks and bike parade, your family is well on its way to an unforgettable Independence Day, but do your kids know why we celebrate the occasion in the first place? Take some time this Fourth of July to sit down with your children and talk about the Declaration of Independence and what it means, as well as about important figures in America yesterday and today.
The team at Wondries Toyota hopes that you and your family have a safe, happy, and healthy July 4th!
